The dental portion of the Q-Direct Plus card

The dental portion of the Q-Direct Plus card is the Qualident Dental Network. Qualident is a highly credentialed quality network of General and Specialist dentists. Qualident is one of the largest, if not the largest independent dental network in the New York/New Jersey area. For group accounts with employees outside the NY/NJ area, the Careington national network is used.

How does dental plan work?

The Dental plan is a reduced fee-for-service program, it is not insurance. That means you pay a specified fee for dental services performed by a dentist in the network. This fee is substantially lower than standard fees. The schedule listing the dental procedures, services and the discounted fees is provided with individual enrollment or through your employer if group coverage is selected.

How do I choose a dentist?

You may choose any general dentist or specialist who is currently active and listed in the provider directory or at this web site. You do not have to pre-select your dentist and you may change at any time. A visit to a specialist does not require a referral.
